Old De Ferrians Hockey Club is a friendly field hockey club bases in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, England. The club has ladies, men's and mixed hockey sides. The club was founded in 1986 as a mixed club, as more players were attracted to the club a ladies team was founded in 1988 and then a men's club in 1989. In the year 2000 the clubs became amalgamated to a single club.
The club has 2 Men's sides and the Ladies have 2 side's. The teams play in the following leagues;
Mens 1st XI - East Hockey Divison 1 League,
Mens 2nd XI - South East Division 5
Ladies 1st XI - Essex Hockey Premiership Division
Ladies 2nd XI - Essex Hockey Division Two
The club is always looking for new players, check out the training link and get involved, all standards of hockey welcome.
The teams home ground is in South Woodham Ferrers Essex where the surface is a sand based astro, the astro was relayed in 2003.
The Local Fitness Centre 'Club Woodham' provides our after match hospitality.
